Striped Coffee and Milk Jelly
This week I was trying to prepare something unusual and a bit unconventional … and that’s how my striped coffee and milk jelly dessert appeared What can be better than pairing coffee and milk! If you like latte, you will definitely like this simple and light dessert. It’s quite easy to make and doesn’t require many ingredients. So, go ahead and try it:
- 500ml coffee
- 500ml milk
- 20g gelatin
Yield: 5-6 portions
1. Mix gelatin with 200ml of cold water and leave for a while until it dissolves.
2. Prepare the hot coffee drink (as strong as you like), add sugar and mix it. Pour one half of the gelatin mixture into the coffee.
3. Boil the milk and add sugar (as for how much to add, that’s a matter of your taste). Pour the remaining gelatin mixture and mix throughly.
4. Now when you have two different mixtures ready (I mean coffee mixture and milk mixture), it’s high time to make layered jelly dessert. Pour the first layer of the coffee mixture into the glass (1-2cm) and leave in the fridge for a while until it freezes. The time when it freezes hard depends on the quality of gelatin. Then pour the second milk layer over the coffee layer and leave in the fridge. Then repeat the layers as required.
That’s all Enjoy your coffee and milk jelly and share the recipe with your friends!
