It is already a fact, that 21 participants out of 32 teams managed to get to the greatest football event of the year 2014
Number of participants of FIFA World Cup 2014 in Brazil is already known almost by two-thirds.
After another matchday (2013-10-15/2013-10-16) seven more teams got tickets to the World Cup. These are: Russia, Bosnia, England, Spain, Chile, Ecuador and Honduras. It is interesting to mention, that Russia returns after a 12-years absence in world football championships and also Bosnia has managed to get to the World cup first time since their independence.
Now officially in the tournament will participate 21 teams : Brazil (host country), Japan, Australia, Iran, South Korea, the Netherlands, Italy, Costa Rica, United States, Argentina, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Colombia, Russia, Bosnia, England, Spain, Chile, Ecuador and Honduras.
In European qualifying zone 8 countries got to the Play-Off round: Croatia, Portugal, Ukraine, Greece, France, Sweden, Romania and Iceland. The draw for this round will be held on October 21. Two couples of international play-offs are also known: Jordan — Uruguay and Mexico — New Zealand. The final list of participants of FIFA World Cup 2014 in Brazil will be singled out and announced on the 20th of November.
